whenever i talk to my sister she always brings up something about my shower. like who hasn't responded. for example i get 'boy u got some real winners on FH side'. i can't say she is complaining.. she will ask me if FMIL made the centerpieces. how the heck would i know!!!
Then she made a remark how i can return gifts for cash. Helloo..... if registered for items maybe i may want to KEEP them !!! i
so to shut her up .. i said to her if i remember correctly you had some really crazies at your shower. or how she should have registered then maybe she would not have gotten 3 irons and blenders.
i just would like not hear about it everytime i call. her remark is like well you know you are having a shower.
ugh... just need to get that off my chest.

I actually ask MOH about responses, well not how many or who responded. But i just ask her, so is the rsvp coming along ok and let her know that if anybody on my side hasnt responded at all to tell my mom bc i know my side and they dont do rsvps theyll just come its a european thing and theyre very european lol. I also tell her if fh's side hasnt responded to either call fh and have him handle it or call FMIL. I dont want her going crazy bc i know what a pain the rsvp's can be. She doesnt tell me much but has told me ppl she is waiting on from my side to get an answer. Also told me about one lady who called and left a very long VM about how excited she is and shes coming from jersey just for this so i thought it was nice bc really didnt expect it.
shes mentioned a few other things lol but i dont think your sister is doing it in a bad way.

yeah i don't think she is doing it in a bad way its just annoying to hear about it. she got married a long time ago & its not the same. for example she thinks having games is childish. so i told her it gets pretty boring just sitting there watching somebody open gifts.
i offered to get her numbers & emails of people who haven't responded yet. for people on FH side i told her to call FMIL. its not a big shower at all. i think 30 people the most.
i just would like to not be involved with one thing with the wedding & just sit back & relax for once.

If it makes you feel any better.... FBIL's girlfriend (who is one of my BM) actually told me ... that FH's sister (who lives in Florida) might suprise me for my bach. party! Uum, if she told you she wants to 'suprise ' me and come up from Florida without me knowing, WHY DID YOU FEEL the need to tell me she might suprise me. It's almost as good as her telling me that the BP has been emailing each other about certain things and giving hints to ruin each of their suprises.
AHH! I think sometimes people mean well but don't think.

MOH is telling me every detail about everything and asking my opinion on all favors, invites, food, etc, etc. My mom is telling me oh this one bought THIS off your registry, this one bought THAT off your registry...Grandma wants to get you this, can you order it?? Like there's not anybody else in my family that can help my grandmother order a gift for me?? CMON!!!!!!!!!

wow ! i think you have it worst than me. at least with me its only my MOH not my mom. it just drives me crazy. i know she is not doing it on purpose ( i think). i just would like to sit back & relax for once during this whole wedding process. i really don't think a shower is such a big deal to organize at least not with my size shower. my mother is paying for it all.. so money isn't the issue. to hear her comment on every guest is so annoying. thats why i told her ' like your family is so normal' .
