So yesterday my family slipped up and now i know when my shower is. The problem is 1. They are having it at my moms house so they had to cut out a lot of people 2. 3 of my bridesmaids will not be able to be there and 3. all of the things I said I wanted to do they told me they will not have room to do.
I feel like I sound like a brat but I am not looking forward to it at all now. My sister (who we only started talking about a month ago) is the only one doing anything. I have always done everything the other girls have asked and I feel like my special day is not going to be special at all.

Is it possible they said that to throw you off? Maybe it wont really be the date they said and your BM will be there and you will get what you want?

I'm sorry. I had quite a few arguments with my mom over similar situations. How many people were on your original guest list and how many people have they shortened it to?

Oh, I'm so sorry. We didn't give my cousin a shower like she wanted (she wanted small, at home; it was big in an Italian restaurant), and in the end she had a great time. I know you feel that the things you wanted may not be there, but at the same time, I'm sure that what they ARE doing is still requiring a lot of thought, and I'm sure they will be eager for you to recognize that the day of the shower.

They cut my list from inviting over 60 to inviting just 30. I sadly know its the date because I saw it written somewhere. I think I'm just hurt because weddings make you realize who will be there and I guess my bridal party will not.
