Showers and other parties

My sister, my maid of honor, just called asking me when she is supposed to start planning parties and how close (or far) from the wedding they should be. I have no idea. Does anyone know what I should tell her?

I am doing the same thing for the guests that are coming back to the house to kill 2 hours after the ceremony. I can't do the toiletry basket at the Coral House because the bathroom isn't 100% restrictive to my party.
