Showers in Queens today!!!

I had my shower today!!!! Yay! It was so much fun, and I was so surprised. I was so sad that one of my BM's couldn't be there because as some of you may know, she was very ill and is still not doing so good. I missed her so much.
I was totally surprised because my plans today were to go to the florist to look at samples with my FBIL for his wedding (his fiance is my bm who is sick). I thought he was taking me to the florist and out of nowhere he had to stop and 'pick up money from a friend' who we were meeting at my shower location. He told me to go in with him so his 'friend' didn't keep him there and chew his ear off, so I went inside and there everyone was. When I think about it now....it really wasn't a believable story, but I totally fell for it. Lol. It sux that I wasn't really dressed the way I planned to,but it wasn't so bad. I was so close to going out in sweats and a hoodie. Thank goodness I didn't! lol. I am uploading pics now and will post as soon as I am done.

YAY, that's awesome. Glad you had such a good time. Sorry that your BM is still under the weather. Is she doing a little better? I know you said she looked awful in the hospital earlier in the week.


OMG, that is such a crazy story. I can't believe you fell for that.
I'm always so suspsicious of everything. I really do want to be surprised, but I know that it's obviously coming up soon so any strange stories I'm told in the next few weeks will probably tip me off. As for the outfit, I can relate. I think I'm going to dress up for the next 8 Saturdays..... HAHA!

I told myself that I would dress up for every weekend in March, but when it came down to it, I just didn't want to waste any outfits..lol. It could have been worse though..lol
My Bm has made improvement but it is still not so good. She was really upset that she missed it. We are really close and have been sharing every aspect of planing together since she is getting married July 8th of this year. Her shower is April 29th (not a surprise), and I just pray that she is well enough to attend her own shower.

Congrats!! I actually found the 'excuse' believable, and probably would've fallen for it myself.

It was at the Woodhaven House on Woodhaven Blvd. Where the old Kate Cassidy's used to be.
That was the first time I've ever been in there and it was so nice! The food was really good too. I thought I would have the pics up by now but I got held up. I will get them up as soon as I can.
It was great because we got the keys to the condo yesterday and were able to bring everyhing right over there. I put all of my new stuff away already. lol. I couldn't help myself.
