I haven't seen shrek 2 yet so I can't answer that for you...but I have to say you must see the first one! It's such a great movie and I would hold off seeing the sequel until after you see it!

We saw it last night--it was very good, and you do not need to have seen the first for it to make sense (though it might help). But, I thought the first was better. The 2nd was excellent, and I am always amazed by the animation, but the first was even better. Enjoy!

Saw Shrek 2 today...didnt think it was as good as the first one....we got bored at times....definitely not as funny.

i loved both of them!!! though 2 was just as funny as the first - there were times when i laughed out loud and couldn't help myself!
thi syear, i showed the first one to my students as part of a paragraph unit - they loved it!!! it's such a great movie for teaching english!!!
