Are any of you girls getting a shuttle bus for your OOT guests who are staying in a hotel to get to the reception? Any idea on how much they cost?

Re: Shuttle Bus
My hotel does it for free, but I think I have to have 10 or 15 rooms blocked off.

Re: Shuttle Bus
I blocked 15 rooms with them. If I don't block 15, the guests have to pay full price, (which is only slightly higher than the blocked rate). I'm not responsible for paying the hotel anything if I don't block at least 15.
This hotel isn't the nicest and fiance and I weren't crazy over it by any means. It's plain and simple, yet clean. However, it's so close to Crest Hollow and gives free shuttle bus rides to guests staying there both to and from the wedding , so we couldn't say no. Also, they allow pets which was a plus for me because my parents have a pet parrot that can't be left home unattended.
The Hilton (which is nicer) is a bit further away, and charges $75.00 for a shuttlebus (i think they only have one). I hope this helps.

Re: Shuttle Bus
My hotel doesn't have one ... that's its one fault. I have really been having a hard time figuring out what to do. The best price I got for a 33 pass buss was $725. It's a lot, but I like the safety factor for my older relatives and those who like to have A LOT of fun, if you know what I mean. My other option is renting vans from my limo company... 1 going/2 coming back for about 500, but vans are hard for the elderly (and girls in dresses). I have to figure it out! I wish the Marriott had shuttle buses!

Re: Shuttle Bus
We've blocked rooms at the Hilton and are using Coachman limos. We rented a 56 passenger bus from 5:45-12:45am and it will make as many trips as we would like.

Re: Shuttle Bus
The hotel I was going to originally book provided a free shuttle for 15 people provided my party booked 10 rooms. I ended up changing hotels, and chartering a bus from Elite that holds 33 people, which I'm paying for. Would rather do this than rely on the hotel shuttle, plus I'll have more than 15 people that need transportation.

Re: Shuttle Bus
We are having three 15 passenger vans transport our guests. We found that most limo companies were able to meet our needs and give us quotes.

Re: Shuttle Bus
Dh and I got 4shuttle vans for our out of town guests. It was $55 per van each way, it was a great investment, and my guest appreciated it. My family and members of the bridal party used it as well. We used US Limos.

Re: Shuttle Bus
I priced them... it was STUPID expensive ($700+) and way over kill... in the end, I ended up with vans, much less expensive ($125 each way) and much more practical for such a short run. The hotel we selected didn't offer any shuttle.

Re: Shuttle Bus
I'm getting it for free with my guests staying at the Holiday Inn Express in Hauppauge. I have to have 2 guests in 10 rooms for the minimum, so I won't have any problems there!

Re: Shuttle Bus
We used US Limousines and they were for a 14 passenger van. They were great, they picked my guests up at the Uniondale Marriott, I staggered the van times so two picked up at 6:15 and the other two picked up at 6:30, and then pickups from the reception started at 12:00., then 12:15 and the other two picked up at 12:45. And no we did not use them for limos.
