If you did/are doing a shuttle between the hotel and reception, did you have guests RSVP for it? Otherwise, how do you know how many or how big of a shuttle to get?

We booked a shuttle big enough to hold almost all of the guests staying at the hotel plus anyone riding to the wedding in the limos (mostly BP) so that we have enough room to get everyone back. I can't say for sure that everyone will take the shuttle, but I hope we have enough room if they do (about 60 people total).
ETA: we did not have an rsvp for the shuttle

I would just hate to lay out several hundred dollars on a big shuttle when only like 15 people decide to use it and I could have saved the money. Ugh. I dunno.

I hear you...What you might do then is either:
A: On your RSVP, include a second box for guests that plan to check off asking if they will use the shuttle
For example: A shuttle will be provided for guests staying at the hotel who check the box below indicating that they would like to partake of this service. Please check here if you would like this service.
or
B: Wait until your cutoff for the hotel booking date and get a list of all the folks staying at the hotel. You can send them a separate invite for the shuttle with a phone number to call if they would like to use the shuttle service (and also a cutoff date to call).
The only problem is you might have stragglers who decide to take the bus last minute or you might have difficulty booking a shuttle closer to your wedding.

on our STD and our wedding website i told people that we were having a shuttle and asked them to email me to reserve a seat. i like the idea of getting the list of hotel guests and contacting them closer to the event, I'll probably do that.

we are getting the two free shuttles that come with the room reservations. Only the younger guests will use the shuttle.
