Shuttle Service from Smithtown Landing Country Club

I'm having my wedding, ceremony and reception, at the Smithtown Landing CC. They have a connection with a nearby hotel, Hampton Inn, that offers a complimentary shuttle service to and from the venue. I'm not really a fan of the hotel or the area its in, not to mention there are limitation on the shuttle service. We will have a decent amount of ppl staying at the hotel and I do not want them having to worry about getting to and from the wedding.

Anyway, does anyone have info on good and budget friendly shuttle bus companies? Also, if any Smithtown Landing brides used or are using another nearby hotel please let me know.

Shuttle Service from Smithtown Landing Country Club

I know this quite an old post but I'm bumping it up because I have the same question. I was actually looking at Hampton Inn but it seems that as of very recently this service is no longer available as that shuttle has broken down.

What did you end up doing for this?

Or bumping incase any more recent SLCC brides have any recommendations for this.

Thanks!

Literally this afternoon!! :( I booked with SLCC just yesterday and since I'm incredibly nuts and fast lol I wanted to look into hotel blocks immediately so called today and was told this news about the shuttle. Then frantically called other hotels in the area and still have had no luck.

I'm not sure about you but I booked the all inclusive package that has 2 limos from Sir Oliver's and I told her I would be coming from Nassau and my FH would be staying in whatever hotel we book closer to SLCC and she said if that's the case we could probably just have 1 limo circle back after dropping us off to get him and his groomsmen and then we could use the 2nd one later that night.

Knowing this news I'm wondering if for a minimal up charge Sir Oliver's will provide a 35 person shuttle instead of the 2nd limo but I haven't looked into it yet since I'm still holding a torch for a hotel in the area with a free one :(

Shuttle Service from Smithtown Landing Country Club

If the shuttle broke down, wouldn't they fix it?

I don't know if we will have enough people to shuttle anywhere, so I have to wait to see who actually books a hotel and hope for the best.

That was my confusion (I think the Hampton Inn lady thought I was nuts because I was just NOT processing what she was saying haha) but she said that they replaced it with a 5 passenger shuttle that only does pickups from Islip airport and LIRR stations. In my state of just not getting it I then asked why wouldn't this be fixed by next September which she then reiterated that it wasn't getting fixed it was just replaced by this smaller shuttle that no longer does pick ups for guests in wedding blocks and that was that :\

I just spoke with the Hampton Inn, the shuttle is still running. Not sure who you spoke with.

When we were booking and looked at the all inclusive we called the limo company and they were very strict and would not let us use the limo to transport people before and after the wedding. You only get the limos at the same time for a very short period. I would call the hotel and ask them again.

Edit: Maybe they have changed their policy, but I have it written in my contract with the hotel, so they are obligated to get me a 9 passenger shuttle.
