Shuttle Vent

FH says yes, Bride says no

(shuttle for about 10 guests from hotel to RH - 20 min ride)

I'm going to make him pay for it then LOL--- and it's mostly my relatives!

Hotel shuttles can get expensive. My best friend said most guests will have their cars anyway, so it's not worth dropping the money. Or risk having people late

Case in point: my friend who got married last week rented a bus, and it was stuck at the hotel picking up late guests, then stalled because someone had to get off to buy cigarettes at 7 eleven. Better off having people take their own cars or take a cab, which is cheaper as someone mentioned.

We did the shuttle for all our guests. I think its a nice touch.

we are paying for a shuttle bus from the LIRR to our venue( about 20 min) felt bad for people trying to get a cabs and stuff back and forth.

We are having this problem too...we aren't sure if we are having enough people saying at the hotel to pay for a whole shuttle! Then again, what are we going to do for the people who do stay. We probably won't make a decision for a while.

It's a nice touch but totally unnecessary. If you can afford it, then go for it. If not, then you can use that money in other ways. I mean everyone's an adult and if they can figure out how to get to the hotel, they can figure out how to get back and forth from the hall.

Did you book your hotel yet? There are several hotels that will provide a shuttle free of charge if you have a certain number of rooms booked...

I personally think it is a fabulous idea, since your guests will really be able to enjoy themselves.

We did shuttle buses as well. I think its is really nice for your OOT guest to have, esp if they arent from the area and to have them drive there when they are not familiar with the area.

I have two hotel blocks, one has a shuttle if 10 rooms are booked. The other has no shuttle. The cost difference is $10, I am leaving it up to the guest to make arrangements for transportation. If we get the 10 rooms then there is a shuttle, if not they know in advance.
