Sick Puppy

My baby, little guy is sick... he had direahea all day and then he threw up, so i took him to the doggie er and they gave him some shots an meds and i have him back, probably just an upset stomach but i have to keep an eye on him

I DO NOT want to leave him tomorrow and frank has a consulting thing in NYC all day, and i was just out last monday...i dont know what to do, and now ill NEVER sleep tonight..

awww, I hope the puppy is feeling better and you can get some rest. I get crazy when my doggie gets sick, I can relate to the not being able to sleep..I think it is the mother instinct in us all.

Poor Little Guy! Arnie says get well soon!
I'd probably call in sick tomorrow if I were you, unless he is feeling better in the morning.

Thanks so much ladies.. i wish that i lived close enough to my mom where she could pop by a couple of times during the day, my parents are not dog people and if little guy diarehed in her house she would probably kill him...

if hes sick through the night there is NO way i am going to work tomorrow.. but if hes better ill probably take an extended lunch to come home for him...

My vet has a service where they will babysit a sick pet for the day. It's Animal Kind in Park Slope, but chances are you live on LI. Maybe your vet has the same service?

See how he does tonight if he still seems sick i say if you can swing it take one more day i will light a candle for him.

OMG! I hope he is ok! Luigi and I are thinking of him. Especially how sweet you were when the wig-man was sick.

Central Vet in Valley Stream is kind of expensive, but I have had nothing but good luck with my three babies there... See how much it would be to board him for the day?

Hi guys... thank you soo much your all sooo nice!!!

He is not showing that he is sick.. hes running around an playing, however he had diarea 2x this morning.. i was sick to my stomach to leave him, but being that i work for a company whos biggest time is valenitines, i didnt think it would be ok to call in sick... i am going to feel out the day and get home as soon as possible...
(the bad thing is today is my welcome lunch to the company with all the VPs and Directors,) im going to try to get out of it, and go home early...

i feel so sad!!!

Alias, i heard central was good to.,.. last night i took him to aa vet in franklin square...it was out of habit cause i have had to call them before...i didnt know that central offered that service...Darn it!!! thank you for the info!! and im glad your baby is doing much better!!

Are you home yet??? How is he?

I dont get to go home for another hour... so i have no idea...but you can bet ill be doing like 95 MPH to get home to see him...this just stinks...i want to go ask to leave but i told my boss what happened, and she didnt seem at all compasionate about it!

I bet when you get home he will be FINE, and you will be so relieved!

I hope so jenn, im praying thats what will happen.... its stupid to say but those dogs are my life, i love them so much just like real babies...my hands are clammy just thinking hes not ok..

It's perfectly normal. Some people don't understand. When my dog passed away after 15 years(from cancer) I had to call in sick from work. I was crying all day.
