We are considering getting new siding for our house. We have a 4 bedroom dormered cape. Can anyone recommend a company that does great work at reasonable prices... We are so scared of getting ripped off. Also, we are scared this is going to cost us a fortune. Has anyone had their house sided recently? Does anyone know how much it would cost, ball park figure.

We had our siding done earlier this year.
Where do you live? We used a local guy here in Islip.
We originally contacted King Quality (the one with the ads on News12) but decided not to go with them for a number of reasons--an unpleasant experience (if you want to know more FM me).
It is hard to give a ballpark figure because it depends on the shape and size of the house (we have a lot funky additions that were put on the house making it more work to put siding on), the type of siding, whether they will need to rip the old siding off (we live in an old house and had SEVERAL layers of siding on the house), whether you want the windows framed out, etc. I think we paid around $10K.
