So since we're doing the 50s 60s music theme... we thought it was suitable to give out mix CDs of our favorite songs from that time.
Well we got the CDs and cases in the mail this week and since the weekend is supposed to be crap we're planning to burn as many of the CDs as we can.
Anyhow, I had to burn a practice CD and listen to it through just to make sure there's no like crazy awkward mp3 burps anywhere or no crazy volume changes from song and song and I've got it playing in the background now.
We are seriously going to have the most amazing dancing going on at our reception.
I don't know why I'm bothering to have a DJ either. I'm like OCD and am preparing to give him a song list of like 200 'you can choose from this.' He is probably going to think I'm being a pain in the *** ...
I should've just hired someone to monitor an ipod.
I'm essentially paying someone to introduce us and announce when there's cake being served. LOL.
But anyways.
It just put me back in the spirit.
I still think I would've been most happy being married in a backyard with a bbq and the oldies station playing but whatever.

I hear ya about the backyard BBQ.
But......your party sounds awesome. Have you ever been on offbeatbride.com or indiebride.com?
What songs are on your mix CD?

Those songs are fantastic!!! If that's an indication of your must-play list, your guests are going to have a grand ol' time.

I'm doing that too, giving my DJ all the songs he can play. We have some of the same songs. You are going to have a fun party.

Dude, I know my sh*t. I could just as easily have been throwing an 80s themed wedding. Could've been equally awesome.

Douche. You shouldn't like it either, since the other song that goes along with it is 'We don't give a damn 'bout the whole state of Michigan...'

I'd rather stick a fork in my eye, yank it out of my skull, roast it and eat it than go to Dayton again.
