sigh,,,, how do you....

Pick yourself up when you seriously get stressed about the wedding and the expense of it all.....

I am glad I am having a wedding and all but I sometimes wish I didnt opt to do a fairly large wedding....

Less then 6 months and I am getting drained from it..

I go on an interview tomorrow for a second job.......

Let the beginning of the NO LIFE begin lol

I am still trying to figure this out myself!

It really is depressing.. :(

I sometimes think is all of this stress worth it for the 5 hrs?

lol thanks! you to!!!

we did silk bok's and saved A BUNCH
we did wraught iron candelabras (12 each on ebay) with tea lights and silk petals
we are only doing pick up and drop off with the limos
we are not doing the typical photographer so its cheaper
we are doing a dj through a friend
we are also doing a sunday night reception in feb.....

but somehow it still seems like i cant cut enough corners even though they are all cut lol.......

I don't know if it'll help - but I remind myself that it's going to be KICK @SS party for my FH and I - and everyone is going to be doting on US for a change and that it will be the best day of our lives (aside from the having kids time - but who knows when that'll happen - so we focus on the near near future)... and that all the aggravation WILL be 'worth' it. And, since we're footing the bill - anyone who gets in our way or tries to p*ss us off - is given the big 'ol BOOT with out regrets.
Do NOT let the money get between you two - it's hard, but it's a short period of time, and, hopefully, with a second job (like I did too), it'll ease up on the $tre$$ and you and you FH will enjoy this time more. I talk as if I'm married - which I am - long story - but just having the 'wedding' to satisfy the salivating relatives who think we're sinners - woo! go us! - it's going to be the most beautiful moment in your life - you'll just be thinking about how hot your FH looks in his tux/suit/whatever, and how you love how he's looking at you while you promise your lives to each other...
Don't let the money - or anything else for that matter - get between you two! It'll all be worth it soon!

YOUR FH IS ONE LUCKY MAN!!!

I am right with you! I have my list of things to do and pay for, and all my credit cards are maxed, and we can't spend a dime on anything else until after the wedding. (which was awful because I unexpectedly had to dump $600 into my car!).
But I have gotten calmer now, a little, we worked out a payment plan with ourselves to get us back out of debt within 6 months (which is horrifying!). But we think we can do it. And we both tried for raises (fingers crossed!).
Just remember this is for you two to celebrate your special day together and be with the people you love.

We are doing this all in cash...

i'm doing it all in cash too, i would wish i had a credit card, except between FH and i, we have 10 credit cards...all MAXXED OUT.

i'm about to rob a bank.

i've been there before----trust me!

the best thing---step AWAY from the planning for a little while. being on here and looking up wedding things alll the time can depress ya cause you want more $$$ to do things!!

i had a few breakdowns before the big day, cause DH and i paid for our entire wedding...and there were MANY times when i said 'w t f didn't we just elope???'

but i PROMISE it will be worth it!

i agree...

and FH tells me all the time too that we will be ok went i freak about the money...

When I am at home cooking dinner when I could be eating out and I start to get annoyed and I just imagine how great it will feel to walk down the aisle and get married infront of all of our friend and family. Usually after that I am happy to eat my home cooked meal and watch a movie at home with my FH

No, you don't. Weddings are NOT worth going into debt over!

It's worth it to pay for it in cash. Finances are the #1 thing couples fight over, so why start out your married life in debt from the wedding?

Take it from someone's who (fully paid for) wedding is over - it's a great feeling knowing that the party is over AND paid for... and all those envelopes are for you, and to pay for the party you already had.
