Is anyone doing one? What do you think is a good one for a July wedding?

I am not doing one bec I am haing a martini bar but I like a drink called Gummi Bear drink, its like a cosmo with gummi bears in it (my fav). You can also do a pomogranite drink, mojito, martini of your choice, etc etc etc

Re: Signature Drink

My venue wants $4 a head for a martini bar during the cocktail hour and $8 a head if I want it all night. I am trying to think of a drink that doesn't cause them to bring in extra alcohol or blenders, etc. This is really frustrating me.

For a summer wedding, you can do frozen drinks (if they are included in your pkg) I asked my RH about that, but they said they don't know if it would work to be passed because they might melt but find out your RHs opinion. Mojitos are always a delicious option as well as something like a Bahama Mama! Summer drinking is so fun and refreshing!

FH and I were talking about this the other day. WHY do they charge extra. If uncle Joe walks up to the bar and asks for a respberry martini and Aunt Sue asks for a chocolate martini- it's included in the open bar, BUT they have the nerve to charge you extra for a Martini Bar. I know it's a cute touch to have someone making them and all, but come on. They nickel and dime you these RHs.

I found some good websites for signature drinks. I will post them.....

Re: Signature Drink

We are doing the something borrowed, blue, old, new signature drink menu by the bar.

I found some good sites.

Just pick a drink and rename it if you want.
Like, any pink drink can be a blushing bride (there may be an actual drink recipe)

We are doing a Jamaican Mohito (it's just a mojito with blue curacau and I called Jamaican b/c that's where we are going on our HM)

cocktail site 1

cocktail site 2

cocktail site 3

Enjoy!

Re: Signature Drink

it would be cool if u could do a drink thats red white & blue! i know when i was in St. Lucia for our hm there was a drink called a love boat....not COMPLETELY sure what was in it...but it was frozen and i know there was creme de banana and had a coconut base....there was blue caraceu(can't spell it at all) for the blue on top...but there was also red through the middle....maybe grenadine????? the drink was heavenly...(and red white & blue!) i'm gonna be on a mission to find out what was in it!!!!

ps: the gummy bear idea sounds amazing!!!! i want one!
