signature drink question

ok i saw this on a tv show and i thought it was a cute idea...my question is...is it common to have a signature drink at your wedding? if so, i am going to ask the rh about it because i want one! i think it should be do-able because i can just pick a drink that requires liquor thtat they already have ...answers or thoughts anyone??

We are having one and our venue actually suggested it. That way the bar isn't overly crowded when people arrive!

hmm...it sounds soo cool so i may just have to do it. i am having passed flavored martinis during cocktail hour but i want something like named after us for our drink.

I want to do this too!!! It should be easy enough for the RH to accommodate since it's not like they have to do anything special. You can print out the recipe and the name and put it in picture frames and set one or two up at each bar. I am excited about doing this... now I just have to figure out a name and a drink mix.

I am soooo doing a signature drink just not sure what yet - i love cosmo's but my FH not so much he loves martinis so i might do like a chambord martini.... or do 2 - 1 dirty martini the other cosmo.....

Our RH hall actually suggested it. We can have up to three that they will pass around... we're going to stick with champagne, do something seasonal like hot apple cider and butterscotch schnapps... and then we have a million months to come up with the third. I think it is a cute idea though!

oooo thanks for the knot.com idea i will check that out! so far i know the both fh and i love peppermind pattys so the peppermint patty on the rocks cocktail is def on the list. i will research more and then i have to come up with a special name for us...hmm....i must get creative

Just be careful when choosing your signature drinks.... my cousin's signature drinks were a martini and irish car bomb. THe irish car bomb went over well... maybe a little too well

Signature drinks have become really common. They work great to either accent a color scheme or reflect the bride and grooms fav drink.

we're just taking the recipe of our favorite margarita from our fav restaurant. We'll do margaritas and martinis for the people who don't like tequilla and I'm going to put the recipe on the bar so people can order it if they like

We're going to have a signature drink. If I have a drink twice a year that's a lot (LOL) but right before FH was deployed last year we were at a little bar in Charleston, SC and I had a Bellini and I loved it so that is what are signature drink will be.

I love this idea. FH and I are sticking with the Vineyard feel and having wine fleets with our last names.

I am doing a signature drink also ..... our RH suggested it, so we are going to do something green based on our color scheme !!
