Signing Pedro??

They better not sign that SOB, every time I saw his face on TV during the series, I wanted to kick his teeth in!!

Most fans are against it, but it seems that Steinbrenner wants to try to get him.

What do you think??

Hi!
I just discovered this Yankee page! I can't stand the sight of Pedro! It would be very upsetting to see him in pinstripes!

I think Pedro is a great pitcher and would be a great addition, but I don't want him. I've spent the last 5 years hating him. I would hate to have to cheer for him now.

I agree with you 100% I just couldn't do it.

I totally agree.

Also- i do give him credit that he is a great pitcher- something the Yankees totally need, BUT they need to get out of the habit of signing the older guys... they always get these 'amazing players' and then they start breaking hips right and left Seriously though, for the amount of money theyre going to pay-- they need to look for someone thats going to last long term, not these guys that are rapidly approaching retirement.

ANOTHER thing i feel about Pedro though-- eventhough he is a great pitcher- i feel that the negativity of his personality, and the complete lack of respect he shows, can be detrimental to the 'TEAM' mentality of the Yankees. all you need is one bad attitude to bring the whole team down, and thats what i feel he would do. When the yankees play, you can see how many of them Value teamwork... and i feel like he would ruin that.

If theyre going to go for an Old, proven pitcher, i'd much rather see Johnson on our team. I dont think that, even as a Yankee, i could Ever root for Pedro.

by the way, CubanBride- what are you trying to say here?

I totally agree with you neen! They need to grab them some youngins!

Though, one positive to signing pedro...

he'd have to cut that hair!

Pedro and his little dwarf can stay in Boston, Thank-You-Very-Much.

Seriously - he's a great starter, but he's done halfway through the game! He can't pitch LONG games. We need a BULLPEN, as I think was proved in the ALCS.

UGH....I HATE Pedro....yeah, he is a good pitcher...but I still don't want him! I can' t cheer for someone I have detested for so long!!! Let someone else take him!
