So my FSIL - is a sweet twenty something in college down in Georgia - she called my FMIL - and told her that she is going to West Palm Beach and will not be coming to New York until the day of my wedding! -
the problem?
she is a BM and the dresses have not coming yet - so she basically said when the dress comes in we will have to figure it out because she is not planning on coming home at all until the day of the wedding....
isn't that fabulous?
I think I am going to go insane! - what the heck am I suppose to do?

When the dress comes in get her credit card info pay it off and then ship it, insured to her. Tell her to have it fitted in GA. It will be less expensive to do it at a tailor there anyway.

she is very young and wild - foul mouth and disrespectful - so talking to her will only send her into a very dramatic scene - she even complained about the dress saying she didn't like the color and blah blah -
whatever - she isn't coming home from palm beach so I will have to ship it to where ever she is in Florida and hope that she will be responsible enough to get it done.

Oh - wow, well at least she is blunt and you know where you stand.
I have an OOT bm and she is getting the dress shipped to her. can you do that?

I have 2 OOT BM's. One came up from GA for the shower so she got her dress done than. My cousin down in FL couldn't come up so I just shipped her dress to her. No problems whatsoever.

Ugh. I have a similar problem. One of my BMs, who is my cousin, is coming from Maryland. She isn't coming up to NY until the morning of the wedding. She says she can't come the day before because she can't bear to miss a class. I mean, come on... we are both in graduate school... I'm managing to handle it and it's my wedding!! Whatever... She better not be late and screw it up! Hopefully your FSIL can give you some form of payment so you can pick her dress up.

Just an aside, with all of my dresses that I've gotten, I've never needed a fitting. Sometimes, it just fits perfectly. FINGERS ARE TOTALLY CROSSED FOR YOU!
