Silicone Bakeware

Getting ready to do my registry. I have been seeing a lot of the new silicone bakeware. Seems like a cool thing. Any one have any? Do they work well? Would you recommend?

Re: Silicone Bakeware

i am NOT a baker- but when making muffins with my friend it seemed to work nicely...and like i said clean up was a breeze, but someone who is a true baker may know the quality better than me

I got a bundt pan in my wishing well and I worked beautifully and the clean up was so easy. The cake didn't stick at all and it was so cool!

I work for the company that makes the Kitchen Aid and the Roscho- bake ware
it works great- go for either brand

Just keep in mind you need to put them on top of a cookie sheet because they are floppy. I sort of feel like you don't get a crisp outside on any part touching the pan. But clean up is definitely easy!

Re: Silicone Bakeware

i have a full set of this stuff and i definately do not recommend them - it takes much much longer to cook things in silicone bakeware and although the cakes, cookies, loafs and bundts remained really moist after finished (up to 1.5 hours longer than recommended mind you) the wetness wasnt distributed evenly and several cakes sank because they were a bit top heavy
i finally realized if you half the recommended moisture it seems to be ok - but it took alot of trial and error - i have been baking since i was 12 and have never had such crummy results with bakeware
hate these pans and i am sorry i put them on my registry

Re: Silicone Bakeware

my FH is a chef and does a lot of bakeware and at first thought that they would be great but after buying them and using them he doesn't like them at all.
