Silk centerpiece for your home?

I'm going to ask the florist to make a replica of one of the centerpieces we are using for our wedding in silk so we can have it forever...has anyone also done this or does it sound stupid?

(we are doing all real flowers for the wedding, but I just think it would be nice to have one forever, and to get it done before the wedding).

I didn't do this, but I think it's a great idea. A friend of mine did have silk centerpeices and so many of my friends kept them and have them in their homes. Go for it!
