Ladies - Have any of you used or planning to use silk flowers for the petal toss? My church won't allow real flowers, confetti or rice and I don't think bubbles will photograph very pretty.
Thoughts?

I was going to use silk until my florist threw them in for me. I think it's totally fine to use silk rose petals.

I'll be using silk only because the colors I want to use are not natural rose colors (I want light blue and brown to go with my color theme).

I would check with your church first. It may be that they don't want to or have time to clean up things left on the floor.

exactly what I was about to say.
If they have a problem w/the real petals, chances are silkpetals don't make the cut.
Bubbles look fantastic in pictures!!!!!!

I agree! My church didn't care if they were real or silk . They didn't wnat them either way. Too much clean up. I convinced my church to let me throw real fall leaves since they will blow away. Definitely call your church.

IF your church doesn't allow them because of the cleanup, ask them if you can have them if you provide someone to clean them up after the toss (DOC, family member etc).

My church is similar.... however, the reason they don't allow those things is so they don't have to clean them up.... so silk flower petals would also be a no-no in that case.... double check with your church before you make a purchase....
