I was wondering if anyone out there has used silk rose petals to line the aisle. I am not using silk flowers for anything else, but spending hundreds of dollars on real petals that will just be stepped on just seems ridiculous to me. At the same time i do not want it to look tacky or cheap and will likely just not use either if the silk will look bad. If anyone has used or seen silk rose petals used to line the aisle I would appreciate your input and if you have pictures that would be even better. Thank you to anyone who can help!!!

OUCH! Thats a pretty big pricetag. I am not using real ones because my church does not allow it... so we are doing silk ones and white feathers (my flowergirls idea :)
I honestly never pay attention to what is being thrown... I am usually awwww-ing the flowergirl and waiting for the bride to even notice!

I had looked in to alternatives to fresh rose petals but my RH does not allow it so I forgot about it but I think they do sell freeze dried rose petals. They are a lot cheaper than fresh petals. I can remember where I saw them... maybe Google it.

I looked into freeze dried petals but for the amount I need it would still be around $400. I don't want to sound cheap but it just seems like a waste of money. I looked into it and I could get silk petals for around $100 which I don't mind spending. Just wondering if they will look tacky.

Usually your florist will throw the rose petals in for free..at least mine did

Did they throw petals for the flower girl to throw or line the aisle with? I know I will need a lot more to line the aisle then if I had a flower girl? Thanks!!

Weddingfactorydirect.com has fake petals for VERY cheap.

If you have a lot of time on your hands, you can try making the rose petal aisle runner!! It's like a border attachment to the aisle runner and you can sell it after your wedding
