does anyone know how silk dupioni, silk shantung, or raw silk holds up?
i think i found the gown i want but i am worried it will look wrinlked in photos. Here i the picture from the website. Does it look wrinkled or am i totally paranoid?
yes - it does look wrinkled. BUT, in defense of the dress, i think that this type of fabric is more raw and therefore it is more likely to get/stay wrinkled. i could be completely wrong - but i think i heard this somehow/somewhere.

Re: Silk shantung/dupioni?
I was a BM in my friend's wedding and the dresses were shantung silk. They were beautiful, but, I hate to say it, the dress was SO uncomfortable. I was in pain at the end of the day.

Duponi silk wrinkles ALOT. It is a beautiful fabric...but once you get out of the limo your dress will be wrinkled.

Aw MAN! I'm so bummed. I love the dress but I had a feeling it would wrinkle. I don't want to look back on my photos & be all wrinkled & gross looking.
