Hmmmm, from what I was told, silk might be better! Good luck!

Re: silk vs suede yamakas for summer wedding
i had an august wedding and used suede.
i was told silk is not as good because if it's shiny, it can cause reflections off the photographer's flash or from the sun.
ps: i've never heard of an issue with suede in the summer.

Wow. That is a really good point about the shiny-ness of silk. I hadn't even thought of that. I am going to tell that to the person that told me...LOL

I think suede looks better and secondly i think bald men have issues bc silk slips off their heads easier

I think suede is more classy. I had a summer wedding and had black suede. I was told black is the best way to go for yarmulkes for the men for photos since it wont show up in pictures as opposed to colors

i got mine from KippotCenter.com ... they were the cheapest i could find. I got the black suede ones with a silver trim ... they looked great.
one note is that this company said it'd take 1 month to be shipped and then i didn't hear from them ... i called them after 6 weeks and after several times of going back-and-forth with the cust service, i finally got the yarmulkes (2 months after i ordered). So just make sure you order with plenty of time and follow up, if needed.

i got black suede as well, and it's great because the heavier weight prevents it from slipping off. no bobby pins necessary!
we got them from skullcap.com. i think it took about a month or so.
