Silk Wrap Ques (nails)

I got my nails wrapped for the wedding, but I don't think I want to keep them. How do I get them off? Do I have to go to the nail salon to do it? Also any suggestion on what to put on them after so they don't break?

silk wraps you can get off if you let them soak in nail polish remover for awhile... and then they should pretty much peel off.

i would suggest that you go back to them. this way you will damage your nails the least.

after you get them off, clear polish every couple of days to keep them a little thick until they grow out.

that's where i am right now. i'm over the half-way mark of the 'grow out'. i can't wait to have my nails back.

hth and good luck with them

I used to have my nails wrapped....what a nightmare!
You could take them off yourself but I would def suggest going to a salon and soaking them off there and getting a manicure right afterwards.

They will become weak so they might come off on their own, or you can soak them in acetone based nail polish remover.

Like the other girls posted, your best bet is to go to the salon, soak them off and get a manicure.

Soak them in Acetone nail polish remover for awhile, they should come off. If you dont want your nails to rip then you should go to the salon to have them soaked off.
When I got my nails off I bought Nail Tek.....It burned so then my friend suggested this stuff...Sall Hansen Hard as nails.....Im like I'll try it......LOVED IT!!!!
I swear by that stuff!!!

You have to soak them in ACETONE nail polish (read the label -most are non-acetone and that will do little for you!)

You'll have to soak them for a good long time to get the wraps off.

I highly suggest cutting your nails a little bit first to sort of open up the front. They will soak off faster if you cut them a little bit so the nail polish remover can get in.

They're a pain to get off. They're easier to take off if you've had them a while (couple months), but you'll be able to get them off.

It will probably take about an hour or so... just be patient and soak them plenty. They will come off.
