I want to get my nails done before the wedding and have never before. Im seeing a lot about silk wraps? what is this? is it better than or look similiar to acrylics?

It is similar to acrylic but I think it is less harsh on your nails...but I'm not too sure.
There is another alternative if you have real nails and you just want them to be strong and look nice for the wedding. It s called a UV Gel Wrap. I am actually thinking about doing this because I don't want tips and I want my nails to look and feel as natural as possible.

watch out with the uv gel stuff....i had thought my nails were long enough just to get the uv gel put on, but they put extensions on anyway....then i had them for a good 4 months or so....they looked great!! a bit $$$ for fill ins and such....but when i had them taken off in march/april, my natural nails didn't start growing for a good 3 months!! maybe it's just my personal experience....don't know if anyone else had the same reaction.....i plan on getting the silk wrap and powder done 2 weeks b4 the wedding...then have them removed when i get home from HM.
