So... now I'm a married woman (whoooo hooooo)... and we just got our marriage license back yesterday.. How do I go about changing everything... credit cards, car insurance, banking, work email, Notary License... etc?
I feel like I'm starting this new adventure lol.

Start at the social security office, DMV, and bank. After you get your SS card you can change your name at work. Passport you have to mail your marriage certificate out so I'd do that last.

What about medical records, like wehn I go to the dr, just have them change my name for me?

i remember they had a contest on here and they gave away a gift certificate to this site.... name change
it seems for $30 they do it all for you....

Hmmm y'know I'm not sure about the medical records. I haven't been to the doctor since I got married. I guess so though!

If you are a Queens resident, you MUST go to the SS office in Jamaica.
If not, you can go to any SS office. Same goes for DMV, etc.
With regard to medical stuff, you'll have to change them once your insurance card is changed and your photo ID as well, both reflecting your married name.
