for those of you who use the gel do you just put it in the space where it closes or do you put it in both the one with the top and without - the prewash?

lol - i only put it in the space that closes but i noticed my dishwaher says to put it in both if using normal cycle
i am going to put a little too in the spacethats open and see what happens
