silly invite question

silly invite question

do you seal the inner envelope or just tuck the flap into the outer envelope?

i know the purpose of the inner envelope is to have a neat envelope to put the invitation back into and i'm thinking if it's sealed, you'd have to rip that one open too.

I plan on just tucking them in, not sealing them!

This! I have never gotten an inner envelope that was sealed.

A true 'inner envelope' doesn't actually have any glue to seal it with on the flap... HTH

I had to buy outer envelopes to use as inners, and they come with the glue strip! so unfortunately, I have to close them! :(

My invitations came with how to put them together actually.

You do not seal them, you just place them into the outer envelope with the seal to the back of the outer envelops. So not flap to flap of the two. (if that makes sense)

So they are supposed to face the same way? I'm confused lol. and you're not supposed to tuck the inner envelope in either?

Re: silly invite question

I sealed the inside envelope with a wax seal. Then it was easy for guests to open without ruining the envelope...plus it looked really fancy.

No you don't seal the inner envelope.

No you don't seal the inner envelope....you just put the flap down and put it inside of the other envelope with the flap facing the back of the outer envelope.

More confusing that it is...hard to explain...
