Ladies, for the placecard votives, you put a real votive candle in correct, not a tealight? Or could you use either?

I think the votives would look nice.
the tea light doesnt come up high enough in the votive..
Michaels has them on sale!

I used a tea light. If you use a votive candle, then the flame will be too high and the guests can burn themselves. Also, the votive holder will get too hot.

but with the votive, since it fills most of the glass... if you carry it where the candle is it dosnt get hot for a much longer time, until the candle is almost burnt out...

we are using tea lites BUT be carefull to light them at the last minute because they may not last the whole night.
