Silly question.....

Besides the bestman and father, who else is suppose to make a speech. The funny thing is, I dont want my dad speaking, because he has the tendencies to call out everyone he invited to give personal thank yous ( Did it at my brothers wedding)

yup...and actually at my wedding it was ONLY the MOH and BM. my dad didnt give a speech.

It's your wedding. Have whoever you want make the speeches. Seriously. Tradition is wonderful, but not when it creates embarrassing situations. We had my matron of honor make a speech/toast, and instead of the best man, who was my fifteen year old stepson, a good friend of my husband's made a toast. My stepson is young and was not comfortable with the idea of getting up and talking in front of everyone, while Trevor, our friend, is the lead singer of a bar band (well, he's a mortgage broker during the week ) and he loves getting up and performing.

So...do what you want. If you have a family member or friend who is good at that sort of thing, ask them to do one.

I keep mentioning my MOH's wedding last year - but that's my most recent wedding thing :)

She had her dad give a speech a the rehearsal dinner and the only speeches at the wedding were the Best Man and me, her MOH...

I think we'll stick with that too - though my dad may want to grab the mike - we'll see :)

At weddings I've seen maid of honor, best man, and the dads give speeches. Sometimes one, two, or all of the above lol. Still not sure who's giving speeches at mine.
