this is probably a really silly question.. but im not sure so i wanted to ask. im planning on walking down the aisle to a song, not the traditional here comes the bride, with the organist. im getting married at a church so would i bring a cd player to play the song? or does the church set that up for me if i bring the song i want to walk down the aisle to? how would that work??

Re: silly question
I always wondered if people could do that. I would call the church and ask them.

Re: silly question
really depends on the church i'm sure.... i think some churches probably have sound systems hooked up to their speakers, others might not.

Re: silly question
I think the guy I'm hiring to play for the cocktail hour is going to have a set up with his i-pod for the ceremony music. This is not in a church though. I don't know what happens in a church.

Some churches don't let you so definitely check before you get your heart set on it.. if they do that's awesome.. and yes I would just bring a CD player and put a RESPONSIBLE friend in charge

Re: silly question
I'm not doing the traditional son either.. the bridal party is walking doen to Kenny G a momnet like this and i'm walking down to Canon in D. the church we are getting married at they set that up. We have to meet with the music guy and give him the songs we want him to play.

Re: silly question
I was wondering the same thing so it's def. not a silly question!
I haven't spoken with the music person at the church yet but I hope they will allow me to play what song I want to walk down the aisle to... whatever that may be!

Re: silly question
my fsil had her cousin play an acoustic version of the song that she walked down the aisle to. a cd player would be fine..
her cousin was the lead singer of that band 9 days who had that one song 'this is the story of a girl..' blah blah blah
one hit wonder

Re: silly question
I am walking down to At Last by Etta James. One of my good friends from High School has an amazing voice so she is going to sing it for me. We had to arrange this through the Church's music coordinator though.
