Silly question

okay... so our orignial theme was all ivory and gold. All our flowers are white and mostly ivory. Leonards is all gold and ivory lol.. so our DIY invites are gold and ivory too .. here is the thing. The BM dresses were going to be gold with an ivory sash, but for the MOH I was going to put her in the reverse colors but I cant because Im in an Ivory dress so she cant be.

This is my question... I was thinking of adding brown to my theme to even things out... so the BMs dresses would be gold with a brown sash and the MOH would be brown with a gold sash and then on the invites I would make all the wording brown and keep the rest gold and ivory. Do you think that would be okay? I know there is no brown in the flowers, would that look stupid? I was thinking of doing all the wording on the programs and placecards and table numbers in brown to match. What do you think?

sorry this is so long!

My simple answer: I read the whole thing above and YES brown would be lovely with that combination - I think it would even add a lot, and don't worry about brown in the flowers. :)

Re: Silly question

brown is GREAT with gold, and of course with ivory. I think that's a great idea.

i think brown, ivory and gold look great together.

I would use it as the 'accent' color throughout the wedding items..
