as a bride to be who loves kids but so many of our firends with kids live out of state know, i realized that i would love to babysit more....do you have tips on how as parents you might find babysitters??? (kinda a way for me to figure out how to 'get in'...i know if i was a parent i wouldn't just want anyone watching my kids...i remember back when i was in college and working at a day care that a lot of parents hired us there for babysitting but am looking for other options...) any ideas would be great!!!
thanks!

Re: silly question....
usually it is thru referrals...or you can list yourself at a pediatrician's office...or a church

I agree. Most people do not wantt o leave their kids with just anyone, so referrals is the best way to go.

Re: silly question....
you might try volunteering at a church/temple day care of which you are a member.

If you have friends that have children make the offer to them. I am sure they would trust you with their children since they know you so well. After that they can refer you to more people. A church is a great place to start. Do you want to start a daycare or just babysit once in a while?
