Silly question about place cards

Okay ladies,

So I know this is really a small, silly thing to be asking about, but I'm writing out my place cards and I wanted to ask everyone for advice. For some of my friends who have guests, I know who they are bringing and I wrote out their guest's name on the invitation envelope when I invited them. For the place cards do I write their names on one place card together like Ms. A and Mr. B, or do I write them out on two different separate place cards, putting them in alphabetical order away from each other? Obviously for those that I don't know their guests names I will just put Ms. A and guest, but what do you do for this, whats proper ettiquette?

Thanks in advance!

I would put them on the same card. No different than you would do for a couple.

Definitely the same card, but your primary friend's name goes first alphabetically so it's ultimately alphabatized under their name, not the date's name

I actually was going to say that if they're not a couple and you know each of their names I'd put them on separate cards.

But I guess most people don't have that. I have a few guests who are bringing friends, not dates. For the friends, I'm giving them separate cards. For the dates, I'm doing them on single cards.

Its always been on one card to any wedding Ive been to before I got engaged... =) Like someone else said, like the invite =))

Plus that would end being A LOT of place cards....
