silly question- Bride sits to left or right of DH??
Is there a customary way for us to sit at the head table? or is it just personal preference??

I think the bride is on the right (passengar side ) and the groom is on the left (driver's side )

I am not too sure of this but I read in a wedding magazine one time that one of the traditons is the groom is at the right side of the bride.

OK, I just looked on the bride's review board and I saw one bride sitting on the right, then I pulled up another bride who was sitting on the left ... so who knows!
However, I always picture the bride on the right for some reason.

i think i remember my hall saying that the brides side usually sits at the odd #'d tables, which means the bride sitting in the 'passenger seat'.
I guess its personal preference.

When I got the map to the seating plan from Danford't had bride on right, groom on left (facing the room)

dunno..but for the ceremony isnt the bride to the left?
ETS: as for the hall....the brides side is always the odd #'s and the groom is even #'s ..so I guess its however the halls sets it up

i sat to the right of hubby during our reception.
also - i sat on the side where HIS family is - if that makes sense. i sat on the right - and his family was on the right. he sat on the left and my family was on the left.

i don't think it really matters sit where you would like i don't think the guests would say 'aren't you supposed to sit there'?
this is not something i notice nor remember when i go to a wedding
