I took mine out during the first trimester when I returned from vacation. I was not starting to show at all yet.

My friend had one and the dr. told her to remove it or it would tear when she got big.

My one gf had one and it just popped out around her 6th month lol

will that area be prone to stretchmarks or anything?

I wouldn't worry about it, you can take it out and replace it with a piece of string - shouldn't be a problem at all

My best friend's looks nasty now (the hole) from it stretching

I've had mine since I was 18! I'm going to be 27 in April so it's been there for 9 years so far! I know of a coupe of my friends who took theirs not (not b.c preggo) and all that was left was a black dot..

no sillllly.. my sister's tongue closed in like a night.. it was strange.. the belly though is just plain strange.. I am totally retarded I know, but if I was pregoo, I would have this fear of the baby falling out of hte hole! lol

I took mine out before I got preggo, but what was nasty looking was how the scar looked when it stretched out -- YUCK!! It took a while for it to go back to looking fairly normal, but it still looks a little funny IMO...

I was able to keep mine in throughout the entire pregnancy, even during labor! My sister was able to keep hers in as well. Mine did stretch a bit though.
