Silly questions

Silly questions

Happy Sunday! I have a couple of silly qiestions for you!

#1 I am making labels for addresses. How do I address them? I guess I mean do I give a special title to the people of the address?

#2 To send out my STD; all I have are the magnets. Do I go find special sized envelopes for them? Do I just place them in a regular sized envelope?

#3 Would clear labels be too ghetto? LOL Not to offend but I am all about saving money and I thought clear labels would be great!

I'm not sure what you mean by 1

2- we had magnets inserted in these little cards with hotel info, so we just bought the smallest sized envelopes at staples they had, the 6 1/2, they were fine

3- clear labels for stds would be fine I think, but personally I don't like them for wedding invites... I'd rather even hand write them out myself.

Re: Silly questions

IMO, if you are going to print labels, why not just print right on the envelope? I think it looks way nicer!

Re: Silly questions

1. You address them like you would for anything else. (Mr. & Mrs....) of First, Last name.

2. I sent just the magnets and I put them in envolopes I had left over from the invites for my e-party (I bought a card printing kit and it came with rsvp cards which I did not use so I sent them in those!) Little ones.

3. I dont think there is anything wrong with it. Its the front of the envolope! Not the STD. Either print right on the envolope or use the clear labels.

I am printing on mine for the wedding invites. Why spend all that money for someone to do them. Esp. in this economy!

ITA!!! I think Im using clear labels for my invites. Its easier than sitting there feeding each envelope into the printer. The envelope is just gonna go into the garbage anyway!

i really dont like the label look for the invites... i juts feel like you try to make it such a formal event but then you clearly see the outline of the labels on the envelopes my cousin did this and i came across the invite just the other day and it irked me for some reason .... sorry to anyone that chooses to do that, jmo

I was thinking that too...but I was going to do it just for the STD's. I will prob print on the envelope for the invites.

Re: Silly questions

1. You can address a married couple as you wish, either Mr and Mrs John Smith OR John and Sandy Smith... Its up to you... For Non married couples I did Mr John Smith and Ms Sandy Smith...

2. My STD's came with small envelopes and I just put in the magnet in the envelope.

3. I used clear labels for JUST my STD's and they worked out PERFECTLY! =) I used a really nice script/calligraphy font and they came out great. People loved em, the font matached my return address font so it was a nice match. As far as seeing that its a label, I didnt see anything wrong with it. Its not your wedding invitation so I dont see what the big deal is.

I actually just received another friends STD and she used white labels and I thought it looked terrible. I like the clear ones way better.

We are doing clear labels and sticking them on because it was more economical for us
