Re: silly registry question

nope, not tacky at all. i think it's a good idea for people who own a home. my friend is getting married in december and she is registered at BBB and lowes. i would go to your local store and ask them about how to set up a registry. idk the details. HTH!

Re: silly registry question

I don't think it's tacky at all.

You're registering for stuff that you guys need. I don't see the difference between registering for things at HD or Lowe's as any different from registering for things at BBB.

I actually think this is a good idea. My FH really wants a BBQ so we might register at one of these places, but ONLY for that. Totally up to you.

Not tacky! I wanted to do this too but I thought Lowes didn't have a registry. People want to get you things you need

Not at all... I've seen people register at Home Depot before... especially if people know that you just bought a house that needs some improvement I think people would be happy to give you money towards something you need.

AWESOME!! More practical than typical registries!! If we didn't move into our house 4 yrs ago we sooooo would've registered at homey and lowes.

AAAANNNNNDDD it's something that FH will really enjoy! Mine was soooo bored in BBandB. I ended up losing him, then finding him on a trial massage chair hahaaha hes so cute i love him!

I think its a great idea!! We had a HM registry and alot of people said we were tacky for doing that......but we saved quite a bit of money on our HM!

Re: silly registry question

I think its a great idea! I may do the same, we have so many projects to do in our house, it would be really helpful to have people buy us supplies!

I don't think it's tacky. Tell a fam member to spread the word. The best thing I think would be Home Depot g.c.

Re: silly registry question

are you freaking KIDDING? It's not tacky at all.

The bridal registry was INVENTED so new brides would have things they needed to make a new home.

Lots of people already have these things. I hate that I registered for china w my 1st marriage. china is stupid and useless IMO. It sits and looks nice and you use it 5 times max and then that's it. crystal stemware, all that stuff. I was so excited to get it and now I wanna give it away.

HD has stuff you'll NEED and use everyday. Go for it. This is 2010! :)
