Silly registry questions/advice

Silly registry questions/advice

I know my BM's plan on having a wishing well for small items: spatula etc. The people at BBB said to still register for those items. I don't want anyone getting a bunch of them as a gift. Register or not?

Also, they recommend registering for pricey items and I am thinking, is anyone really going to get me a Queen sized mattress pad for $79? Oh, but I MUST have the 350 thread count for the mattress pad. Should I follow all their advice? If I get all that they suggest, I won't get all the stuff I really want. Our family and friends aren't made of money.
Thanks for any advice

If your shower is going to have a wishing well, then definitely register for that smaller stuff! Your guests will buy the little things off your registry for your wishing well.

As for the bigger items, go for it. What's the worst the could happen? People don't buy it? So what?

Definitely register. People will often follow the registry and you REALLY never know. Some people will chip in,. some will want to buy a luxury item for you, and also you want to get the % off for the completion bonus, so it dpesn't hurt. I'm going to put my bedroom furniture on there

Def get the small items, especially if you're having a wishing well!

Also, I don't think $79 is too expensive for a gift. I bet someone will have the 20% off coupon and get it no prob!

Agreed. And with those BBB coupons, and even the possibility of 2 people splitting a gift, the more expensive stuff has a good chance of being bought.

register for EVERYTHING you want! even if it's expensive stuff that you really want but know people won't buy bc a lot of places will give you discounts on the things ppl don't buy so you can always go buy them yourself with a discount!

REGISTER FOR EVERYTHING YOUR LITTLE HEART DESIRES!!!!!!!! I went into it with the same mentality and FH was ready to beat my ***!! LOL....i really didnt expect People to spend that much money on gifts and now......Most of my registry is GONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Believe it or not the little things are whats left!!! (i guess thats not waht my wishing well is going tobe used for) And you have NOTHING to lose for registering. If noone buys it then at least u get the discount when comes time when you want to buy it!

Defintiely register for the little things! I know when I go to showers, I sometimes like to make a theme basket, like a baking basket. So I'll get the pans, spatulas, wooden spoons, parchment paper, bowls and add some cake mix and stuff in the basket. SO you ever know where those little items will pop up. As for the more expensive items, groups of people can go in on them. My friend wanted the kithcen aid mixer, which was $300 and 6 of us went in on it (with a basket of thinks to mix, lol cake mix etc.) so don't worry. If anyone ever makes a remark to you, just tell them about the completetion bonus.

It's good to have a lot of different price points covered, bc you never know if people will try to package stuff up.

register for everything you could possibly need or want.

if they buy it - GREAT.
if they don't - oh well. you can use your comletion coupons to grab it for yourself if you really want it!

yayyy presents.

Put on everything you want! If it is too expensive then you can always get it with giftcards you will most likely get.. Also, you would be surprised how much people will spend. I am still shocked that we got some of the most expensive items on our registry for just engagement gifts already!

def put the little things too.. then atleast you will get the utensils you need, and not a bunch of duplicates and extras in your wishing well!

I would register for everything that you want rgardless of the price. Including spatula's etc. Since ure having a wishing well ppl can buy those things from ur registry.
And even if u put expensive things on ur registry u might b surprised n ppl might buy it. No harm in putting it on the registry.

Yes its a wishlist and you can put whatever you want or think you need.

I have a lot of stuff since we've lived together for 7 years, so I really just want to upgrade or replace some things I already have.

You never know what you might get!
