Simple slip?

Simple slip?

I have my 1st fitting in 2 weeks..and need a slip! The dress is a-line and has a zillion layers.I tried it with a poof slip and couldn't move! It felt much better w/out a slip. Do I need a slip? If so..where can I get a cheap one?

I just purchased my slip from David's Bridal $49.00 for A-line type dress.
