FH's best man is his dad. No other bridal party. FH's mother wants FH's brother to wear a tux (for purposes of pictures). I'm opposed. What do you think?

i don't think it matters ... he could wear a nice black suit and be fine (and save the money) .... suits look good in pictures too

I say nay. My sister was originally going to have her husband wear a tux, but he wasn't in the BP (and well I'm not his biggest fan). I told her no, and for him to wear a dark suit.

Now....here's the kicker - it was already discussed, we said no, FH's mother told him (when I was not in the room), that she's going to tell his brother to wear a tux anyway.
Now....what's your opinion?

That your FH needs to tell his mom no and talk to his brother. I have no tolerance anymore for people. Why can't they mind their own business?

whatever. dont worry about what he's wearing. as long as he's not wearing a vest & tie that matches the BM so it looks like he's in a BP, let him wear the tux.

Before I read this I was like ehhh let him. If it was black tie people would be all over the place in tuxes... I think my grandfathers are wearing tuxes to mine... but I hate when people are sneaky like that so I say NO.

You tell his brother he can wear the tux but with pink accessories. So he can stand out.

Definately No especially since she did behind your back like that after you already said no. if FH wants to pursue it, he should say that you already said no and she shouldn't disrespect you by doing plotting it behind your back.
