Since my BIL dropped out of the wedding.. and then I added a bridesmaid..

My bms and ushers are uneven

I really really like the way it looks in pictures when its equal......
One of my bms is engaged to a guy who my fh is good friends with.. he originally didnt ask him to be a groomsmen b/c we were doing just family since it was even... Do you think my fh should ask him or should I leave it as is?? I know he wont be offended at all if we explain to him it was originally going to be just family...

Personally, I would leave it as is. A bridal party is a delicate thing... just family sounds like a good criteria to me...

Is your BIL definitely not doing it? That's the first thing. Second, I don't like uneven either. I would ask the other guy to step in.

I would chose based on your relationships and not on the pictures. Twenty years from now, I want to know that my BP was the closest people in our luves, and I don't expect I'll be bothered by any un-evenness.
FYI, I'm having 4 BM's and he's having 8 groomsmen! So much for symmetry!
