bartending..... I made a ton of money a night, free liquor and entertainment the whole night!!and got to dress sexy!! the total opposite of teaching!!!!!!

Ballgirl for the NY Mets....I absolutely loved baseball, got to see all the games on the field, got to hang out w/ the players and just do something that not many can say they did.
ETA: 2nd best job was Retail Mktg Asst. for Major League Baseball Properties. We received a ton of free baseball merchandise and things like Nike sneakers and had a pass to get into any ML ballpark and attended cool parties. It was a laid-back work atmosphere with young people and was a great job.

KathleenG - He really is a very nice guy and it was a lot of fun to work there. You never knew what to expect and every day was different - never boring like my job now!

I worked for Acclaim Entertainment in Glen Cove. It was awesome. Where else could you get paid to play games all day?? If you got caught on the internet, they didn't care. If they caught you playing the arcade sized games in the kitchen, they didn't care. If they caught you bumming on the first floor terrace, they didn't care. There was so much cool stuff about that place - you got to meet actors/performers, they were always giving stuff away, promos, etc. The place rocked!!

Working for the Beach Park in Long Beach in the summers. Started as a lowly ticketaker when I was 14 and worked my way up to a supervisor where I met ALIKING THere were about 10 supervisors and we were all close because we had all started the job together years before - when we weren't working - and yes - even though it was the beach it was hard sometimes - we were lying out, hiding in someone's apt (usually mine) in the ac, being completely hungover, going out together every night and hiding at Starbucks and Dunkin DOnuts!

Worked in Recreation at Yellowstone National Park one summer. Planned events for the people that worked there. That was an awesome job. Nothing like bypassing Elk on the way to lunch!

Working as a cashier at Grand Union...(well the job was terrible, but that is where I met my husband)...we were 17...it was fun working together!

I think the best job i've ever had is the one I have now - I work in a small medical office, it could best be characterized as a rehab facility. It is unbelievably cool to see someone be wheeled through the door in a wheelchair, move to a walker, then a cane, then walk right out the door on their own in a matter of weeks.
It's a small, husband-wife owned practice with less than a dozen employees - very personal...we're like a family!

My job now- I am a therapist in a psych hospital on the child and adolescent units.
