'Sing-Along' Piano Bar

'Sing-Along' Piano Bar

I was in Florida a few weeks ago, and a friend took us to this awesome piano bar, where everyone sang along. It was a little loud, but not in a rowdy kind of way. Just huge fun!!! Does anyone know of anything like that around here? It could be in LI, or in the boroughs, maybe even in near-by NJ. We live in Brooklyn, and don't mind traveling a little for a good time. Thanks.

Don't know if it's still there, but Eighty-Eights in the village was a great piano bar back in the late 80's and early 90's. Was primarily a gay crowd then - I used to go with a friend when I worked in the fashion industry - great Sunday brunch too.

There's also one in the village called Marie's Crisis--it's all Broadway show tunes. It's actually a gay bar, but there's straight people there as well. I went there a couple of years ago and it was SOOO much fun.
