Ms. Jane Smith (or just Jane Smith)
Requests the honor of your presense
at the marriage of her daughter

Mable Smith

to

John Doe

my parents are divorced so it was a little tricky: we did

John Doe
Jane Doe
John and Jan Smith
would be honored to share with you
the joyous occasion of the marriage of their children

How does your mother address herself? I guess however she addresses herself is how I would put it on the invitation.

does that make sense?

Re: single mom on the invitation

Wording the invite can be such a pain. My mother is deceased but I wanted her name on my invite. I couldn't figure out how to write it. Finally my BIL came to my rescue. Sometimes you just need to go to someone else and they are able to figure it out for you in a snap!
