Re: Single Moms...
AW that is sooooooooooo sweet! My DD is going to be my FG, well one of 2, she insisted we also have our friends daughter too! FH and I are each dancing with her in lieu of parent anniversary dances. We are also doing a family unity ceremony, thinking about getting her this family union charm on a bracelet, but we're still thinking about it. FH is going to adopt DD. I am very excited about the whole thing!!!

Thank you, I loved having her there, she is such a ham!!! The 2 of us are dancing to In my daughters eyes, she totally changed my life and all for the better. I didn't think life could get better till FH became even more in our lives. We had been friends for over 10 years. They have always known each other and the 'poof' one day it all just came together! How is your FH and DS's relationship? Sounds like the 2 of you have a great one!

Re: Single Moms...
IT is really nice to have your son walking you down the aisle, that is very special.
My daughter is 10, and I spoke to her to see what was going to make her feel more comfortable and special. she will be a Jr. Bridesmaid, but her dress is different (the BM dress is not for kids anyway) and her colors will be reverse of hte MOH and She will be walking by her self

Love those ideas! My twin girls are 8 and want to be flower girls and I can't wait!
I have a question for the single moms....where are your children sitting at the reception?? With you and FH or with grandma and grandpa??

Re: Single Moms...
I think it's a beautiful idea!
I don't have children, but one of my cousins was a single mom of a 10 year old when she got married. Her daughter was a junior bridesmaid. She also participated in the lighting of the unity candle and got a special ring at the ceremony. At the reception, they had a dance together. It was so beautiful.
I think having your son walk you down the aisle is a lovely idea - so special!

Re: Single Moms...
We have a slightly different situation since FH is the father of my 2 year old daughter, but she's going to be our flower girl. I think it's so sweet that you are having your won walk you down the aisle.

My DD is going to be the miniature Bride. Our dresses are very similar and she will wear a tiara and a mini version of my BoQ. She will enter right before me.

hey YOU!!!!
I was a single mother until I met FH... Aidan is a little too young to walk me down the aisle but we are having the priest turn to Aidan and ask him if he takes FH to be his step father... and promises to love him etc etc...
I think its a WONDERFUL idea for your son to walk you down the aisle =)))
