Sit down dinner vs. buffet question!

Thanks for all of your opinions, ladies! I believe that as long as they can also accommodate vegan/gluten-free guests; we'll likely change to a sit-down.

I would say for that number I would prefer a sit down dinner to avoid the wait but it also depends on the place you book, if they manage and run the whole dinner part of your reception well I don't think there should be a problem with having a buffet style dinner.

I personally do not like buffets. I feel that sometimes the quality of food is lacking bc of the quantity.

I've only been to one buffett wedding at a Jewish center in FL, and they called us by tables. Since we were the last table called, the food that they didn't run out of was cold. I also didn't like being the table next to the buffett stations and having people crowd around me, it got very annoying.

I have been to both but only 2 buffets. I like the buffet because I don't have to choose between all of the options, I can just eat everything there is. HOWEVER, the line thing can be annoying. The first buffet I went to was AWESOME! The room was HUGE and there were no lines. What they did would invite 2 or 3 tables into the buffet room at a time so you weren't waiting on line forever. The second buffet wedding I went to was this past weekend. We were eating our dinner while standing on the buffet line so it really wasn't to our liking. Plus, our food was cold by the time we sat down because of timing. I would ask your RH how they do the buffet. If they call a couple tables up at a time I say go for it.

You can also ask your RH if there are multiple tables per servers or if each table has it's own server. I was at a wedding once where we didn't get our food until RIGHT before the cake cutting ceremony. We missed a lot just sitting there waiting for our food.

I have to say I do prefer the buffet if it's done right...
