I'm feeling so overwhelmed. The only vendors I have booked are my location and hair. I booked the Jedediah Hawkins Inn on Saturday -- it was the first venue I visited and I fell in love immediately. It's exactly what my FH and I wanted. And our 11/4/07 date was coincidentally available.
BUT, I don't have a dress and I'm scared now that with the wedding only 5 months away that I won't be able to have alterations done in time. Does any one know if it's too late?????
The Inn takes care of my flowers, food, music, tent arrangements. All I have to do is meet with the flower vendor to pick out the flowers I want. So that's all a big help. I still though have to do flowers for me, MOH, Mom and the guys.
Advice from you experts out there, please!!

Welcome and Congrats !
Now take a deep breath, don't panic. There are dresses out there that can be found in your time frame. I can't help with that, my dress took 4 months to get in. The other ladies will be able to help.
Since your RH takes care of most of your needs, you are already ahead of the game. All you need now is a photographer and videographer.
Make a list of what has still to be done, and then take it from there one step at a time.

There is a young lady by name jenjenr (I think) that is selling her gown and there is another young lady whose friend is selling hers. As far as I know neither have been used.

First off Congrats. Second, I LOVE Jedediah Hawkins. It's soooo beautiful! You'll be able to find a dress, but start looking asap. It's definitely not too late.

I got my dress from David's and the shipping was super fast! They told me a date and it came in a month before that! I think it was only 3 weeks.
Good luck and let us know if you need help with anything else!

GO TO LILLETTES in Baldwin.. They are amazing
I JUST started planning my wedding a month ago & told them ANYTHING they could sell me off the rack, let me know.
they were MORE than accomodating and I bought my dress off the rack with them & it was one that i really wanted even before i set my date (picture in my albums)
you TOTALLY have time. Just dont be opposed to buying smething off the rack... or paying a rush charge.
i know how you feel as i was there a month ago (and i only had 4 months to do it) but it is totally doable and its like a high when you start to get things done (hahah)
FM me if you need any advice.

Yay another date twin! That inn is spectacular - you're so lucky!!! You're going to have a great time planning your wedding, don't even worry about it. I got my dress at David's somewhat randomly - I went in there to try on a few things after I got engaged and wound up falling in love with a dress and ordering it in early Feb. They said it might not come in til June but lo and behold it came in like 3 weeks later (and just to assuage fears, it was a brand new dress, not a sample). So you could definitely start there and at least see if there's anything you like. And we're all here to help with the other stuff!! Good luck, and welcome to the site - it's addicting!!

Don't wait another minute!!! Really get on the ball with your dress. I was able to get my dress in 3 months at RK Bridal! That might be a good place to start looking...lol Try to do a wedding errand every weekend.... Good luck! XOXOXOXO Kitty

Five months isn't the end of the world--but get on that! Especially if you think you're an odd size. I also planned my wedding in six months. My gown took four months to come in, and I had time for alterations, they just made time for me.
Wow, the J. Hawkins inn is amazing. You're going to have a lovely wedding.
