Hi ladies! My fiancé and I are getting married next June on a Sunday and we originally planned on taking pictures after the ceremony at Old Westbury Gardens but they have some car show that day so we're denied the ability to take pictures there that day. :( so we need some help.... We're looking for a place to take pictures similar to Old westbury Gardens, green fields, flowers, beautiful back drop, we LOVE the mansion backdrop, ability to take pictures indoors as well as outdoors in case of bad weather. Anybody have any ideas? (preferablly in Nassau/Queens area) Thanks!!! Kat

Vanderbilt Mansion is gorgeous. We took our pics at Northport Harbor.

Planting Fields. Its almost the same exact thing as OWG. Old goald coast mansion with beautiful gardens.
Wanted my pics there but no time between ceremony and reception.

That stinks that you can't do old westbury gardens... Don't know about price or anything but what about hempstead house in sands point?

Thanks ladies, I've heard planting fields is nice so its an option but I wasn't sure if there was an indoor spot to take pictures in case it rains. Havn't checked out sands point yet, cost isn't an issue since OWG was almost $400 for 90 mins and I would have gladly paid that for a backdrop like that. :( sucks I can't take pics there, I'm very sad about that.

I think you can take pictures inside the mansion there...but I dont think you can do it in the entire thing. Only in certain rooms. But check it out.

Planting Fields is beautiful! I have a few pictures in one of my albums. There are 2 options I believe... $100 for an outdoor permit and $300 for an outdoor/indoor permit, but you may want to call them to make sure.

Thanks everyone, I'm going to call planting fields and ask about indoor and outdoor. I hear alot of people saying how beautiful it is. I'm also going to call Hempstead house. I'm really Sad about not being able to book old westbury gardens but I guess everything happens for a reason. Thanks for the helps ladies!

definitley planting fields the look is so similar and the price is so much more reasonable at planting fields
