Site Upgrade (ALL MUST READ)

Preparing for the site upgrade. YIPPY!

There are many many new features to the site.
To make for a smooth transition there are a few things required on your end.
First, Click on My Account and make sure your email address is current.
This must be an active email account!
When the new site goes live we will send you an email with a link that 'must' be clicked to activate your account.
Don't worry, nothing will be lost. Once you click the link it will be business as usual.
For those with multiple accounts you'll need a separate email address for each account.
If you leave the same email address for different accounts neither account will work - so change'em! ;-)
Some time in the next few days we will be closing certain sections of the site as we prepare for the transition.
There will be one day that we have to close the boards. Sorry, can't get around this.

The new site will tend to operate a little slow for the first few days while we add some additional programming changes that can only be accomplished after the site is live.

We expect all changes to be made by Friday October 10.

Question: does the amt of FM's we have affect your bandwith or amt of memory LIW has? Just curious.

Maribelle7777 - no to both.

The site uses 3 megs of bandwidth (that's 2 T-1s). We have plenty of room to go. We are on an OC-48 backbone.

Memory - The webserver and database have a current capacity of three terabytes.

I don't know how you girls will go with out LIW for a whole day! I have tosay I'm grateful to be on my honeymoon during this transition period, LOL! Plus, when I come back to a whole new site, it'll be like my own personal wedding gift from LIW!

Oh oh, I may have a problem. I don't know which day but within the next week I will be turning in my cable modem when I move. When I reconnect I don't know how it works with e-mail addresses. If I don't get my same address back, does that mean I will lose all my FM's? Please forgive my lack of computer knowledge.

No, you will not loose anything. You just won't be able to receive the email we send with the link to log in. If this happens just contact me through the sites contact form.
